Counseling for Individuals and Couples

Respectful and nonjudgmental support through depression, anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions including pregnancy and new parenthood.

I offer video sessions conveniently and securely accessible from anywhere in California.

Perinatal Support Sessions

I offer sessions for individuals and couples before and after a new baby joins the family to support wellbeing while preparing for and adjusting to new parenthood. I work with clients to prevent and treat postpartum anxiety and depression, to attend to changing relationship dynamics, and to support their preferred identity transformation.

Individual Counseling

I offer sessions for individual adults who are encountering challenging transitions, depression, anxiety, loss, or relationship distress. I collaborate with clients to deconstruct harmful belief systems and clear the way for desired transformation. We work together to identify actions clients can take that align with their values so they can make meaningful change in their lives.

Couples Counseling

I work with couples at any stage of their relationship to assess relationship dynamics, identify the couple’s strengths, understand and clarify the couple’s hopes for their relationship, improve communication, and strengthen connection.

When working with expecting or new parents, we clarify the couple’s values around parenthood and family, we identify hopes and concerns about this new stage of their lives, and we identify how the partners can maintain connection during the transition.

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not directly bill insurance companies for my services at this time. I can provide “superbills” or detailed receipts to clients. If a client’s insurer provides “out of network benefits,” (some insurance companies offer this and others do not) clients can submit a superbill to their insurer and get reimbursed for a large portion of their therapy costs. This reimbursement process is between the client and their insurance company, but I am happy to discuss what I know about this process with clients.

  • I accept all major credit cards as well as FHA and HSA cards. I process payment electronically after each session through my client portal.

  • This varies greatly from client to client. I believe establishing a therapeutic relationship takes time and that slowing down is an important aspect of making space for new perspectives and change. I also believe clients should only attend therapy for as long as they find it helpful. You attend as many sessions as you like without any obligation to continue.

  • I only provide services to residents of California in compliance with my California professional license.
